What We Do

what we do

Training

Every year, hundreds of evangelists, pastors and students are trained by Global Initiative to minister to Muslims in their own context. We indirectly reach untold tens of thousands on a yearly basis by way of those we train, and many potential missionaries and ministers leave our sessions with an unmatched burden to reach Muslims.

Our training programs and outreaches help equip national churches to share Christ with Muslims all over the world. If you desire to more effectively understand and reach Muslims, perhaps we can help you in this way.

Equipping

Global Initiative falls under the umbrella of Assemblies of God World Missions and, respectively, works with both regional offices and U.S. Missions to provide you with resources designed to enhance your knowledge of and ministry to Muslims.

Our goal is to help you to better understand Muslim cultures and be able to connect with them on a personal level. We have numerous resources that will help and enable you to engage Muslims one-on-one.

Global Initiative also offers a concentration in Islamic Studies through the Center for Islamic Studies at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.

Mobilizing Teams

One aspect of our mandate is to train and equip missionary teams. That they are knowledgeable about the cultures they are travelling to is an assumed precursor for effective ministry. Cultural-relevancy, we feel, is vital to successful evangelism.

The raising of funds to resource these teams is essential. Your partnership is needed.

Church Planting Projects

Planting a church within a Muslim context is the greatest evangelism tool Global Initiative can utilize. Partnering with national believers is the most effective way to realize this goal. Since 2006, we have helped facilitate over 370 of these church plants. Hundreds more need funding. Click here to aid us in this effort.
